CUETO II tel: 210/671-1735/JOHNIE JOHNSON PRESOLICITATION NOTICE: This presolicitation notice is for the installation and Repair of exterior insulation finish system (EIFS) on miscellaneous type buildings, up to three stories high on Lackland Air Force Base and Lackland Annex. The resultant contract will include but not limtied to full brick masonry, demolition of existing siding, application of EIFS, exterior carpentry as well as interior finishing related to window and door replacement and blocking of openings. The contract will also include abatement and disposal of lead and asbestos material, removal and disposal of existing miscellaneous windows, doors, vents, grills, electrical outlets and lights and replacement with new units. There is a limited amount of landscape work involved with the contract, primarily to repair damage done to existing landscaping due to installation of the siding. The magnitude of this project (including three option years), is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. Performance period is one year with three option years. Guaranteed minimum order amount for the basic year and the opiton year is $80,000 (basic year), $75,000 (lst option year), $50,000 (2nd option year), and $50,000 (3rd option year). The proposed contract listed herein is being considered for 100 percent set-aside for Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB) Concerns. Interested concerns should as early as possible, but not later than 15 days after this notice is published, indicate interest by responding to the contracting office listed above, and provide evidence of capability to perform (including references for similar work with telephone numbers, points of contact and contact numbers) and a positive statement of eligibility as a small socially and economically disadvantaged business concern. In addition, evidence of ability to secure bonds relating to this project. Note: a 20% Bid bond will be required. Performance and payment bonds will be required from the successful bidder. If adequate interest is not received from SDB concerns, the solicitation will be issued on an unrestricted basis without further notice. Replies to this notice is requested from all interested business firms as well as SDB concerns. Solicitation should be issued on or about 26 July 1995 with a bid opening scheduled for approximately 30 days after issuance. SIC Code is 1761.
