66 -- UPGRADE OF GOVERNMENT-OWNED FRACTURE WAVE DETECTOR SYSTEM SOL 1-144-DMF.4633 DUE 070395 POC Contact Sang H. Lee, 804-864-9570. This Center intends to procure on a Sole Source basis, from the following firm, Digital Wave Corporation, for the following goods or services: Upgrade of Government-owned Fracture Wave Detector System to include the following: Addition of 4 B 1025 sensors, 4 PA2040G/A preamplifiers, 4 signal conditioning modules and an 8 slot analog backplane. Replacement of existing 4 A/D channels (8 bit, 25 MHz maximum) with 8 A/D channels (12 bit, 60 MHz maximum), replacement of linear and switching power supplies with heavy duty models and addition of cooling fan. Upgraded software to allow capture of up to 8 channels of 12 bit AE data simultaneously with total system through-put to hard disk of over 2 million bits per second. The upgrade shall also replace the 486/66 MHz data processor with a intel 90 MHz data processor upgrading the hard disk capacity from 240 MByte to 535 MByte (fast SCSI02). The upgrade shall also include all necessary cabling for 8 channels of data acquisition and full documentation for the upgraded software and hardware. This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures.
