Purchasing Agent, GEORGE K. HARRINGTON, (508) - 651-4026 The U.S. Army,
Soldier Systems Command (SSCOM), Acquisition Directorate, will be
procuring two Containerized Kitchens (CKs) for the Army Field Feeding
System Future (AFFS-F) with an OPTION quantity of up to four more
units. The objective of this requirement is to provide a flexible,
rapidly deployable, resource efficient, multi-fuel, food preparation
capability for the U.S. Military. The Containerized Kitchen will be
utilized to prepare (A-Rations, B-Rations or T-Rations) meals three
times a day for a maximum of 500 soldiers. It will be utilized at
battalion level or higher level operating sites to support deployed
Military Personnel in a field type environment. During Phase I the
Contractor will be required to develop a viable concept that will
integrate all the requirements of the Containerized Kitchen into a
proposed method of accomplishing the project for review by the
Government. The Government will have thirty (30) Calendar days for
review, and if approved the Contractor will be allowed to proceed with
Phase II of the Contract. Phase II of the Contract will utilize the
Approved Phase I concept for the manufacturing and furnishing two (2)
Containerized Kitchens utilizing Government furnished property and
Contractor procured items. In Phase III (OPTIONAL) the Contractor shall
furnish up to an additional four (4) Containerized Kitchens utilizing
Government furnished property and Contractor procured items. Technical
data and reports will be required. The performance period for this
requirement will be 180 calendar days for Phases I and 2, and 120
calendar days for Phase III (OPTIONAL). Delivery will be F.O.B. Natick,
Massachusetts. Firms desiring a copy of the solicitation package must
submit their request in writing. Firms responding shall indicate
weather or not they are a small or small disadvantaged business concern
on their response hereto. The size standard for small business is 500
