A -- A -- PAYLOAD DEMONSTRATION UTILIZING THE PIONEER REMOTELY PILOTED VEHICLE POC Contact, Frank Fisher, Phone (703)604-0903 The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to issue a fixed price order under Basic Ordering Agreement N00019-92-G-0217 for a study on the feasibility of demonstrating the Coastal Battlefield Reconnaissance and Analysis (COBRA) Payload in the PIONEER RPV. The study is Phase 1 in an invisioned 3 phase program. Phase 2 will consist of integration of the COBRA payload into the PIONEER RPV. Phase 3 will consist of engineering support during Government flight testing of the COBRA payload in the PIONEER RPV. Phases 2 and 3 will be procured by either seperate fixed price BOA order or as a fixed price modification to the order for the COBRA/PIONEER study (Phase 1). NAVAIR intends to negotiate the proposed order(s) on a sole source basis with Pioneer UAV, Inc (PUI), Hunt Valley, MD. PUI is the prime contractor for contracting for the PIONEER RPV.
