Contractor to supply mouse variant cell line L5178Y S/S and maintain the cell line in unique defined simplified growth medium. Contractor shall transfect variant cell line L5178Y S/S with a customer-provided patented plasmid containing a barley nitrate reductase gene, and maintain up to three transfected cell lines in defined simplified growth medium and other media as requirements develop. Contractor shall provide X-ray or gamma-ray survival data at different parts of the cell cycle for the variant cell line and up to three transfected cell lines. Contractor shall provide survival data on combined effects of heat and ionizing radiation for the variant cell line and up to three transfected cell lines. Contractor shall preserve (freeze) transfected cell lines in liquid nitrogen. Contractor shall deliver three transfected cell lines (frozen) to the customer at the end of the performance period.
