The work includes removing concrete foundations and stone retaining walls; removing steel structures; removing electrical equipment; removing transmission lines; clearing and stripping; excavation for substation site and access road, borrow, foundations, and trenches; constructing embankments; backfill and gravelfill; corrugated metal pipe; providing chain link fence; barbed wire fence, gravel surfacing riprap, soil-applied herbicide, and seeding; concrete foundations for steel structures and electrical equipment, concrete for trench drains, precast pull boxes, and ditch liner and detention curb; metalwork; installing Government-furnished transformers and interrupters; furnishing and installing interrupter, disconnecting switches, voltage transformers, and surge arresters, grounding system, conduit, insulated conductors and cables, bus systems, and substation signs; and repairing service building. All work is required to be completed within 240 calendar days after receiving Notice to Proceed. This solicitation is unrestricted. The solicitation will be issued on double-sided, high-density DOS-formatted 3.5-inch floppy diskettes. The IFB and specifications are formatted using WordPerfect 5.1.
