includes all labor, materials, equipment, and incidental related work
to accomplish the work items listed below: Remove existing obsolete
``Safety First'' dry chemical extinguishing systems and provide new
pre-engineered wet chemical fire extinguishing systems for protection
of existing cooking equipment as indicated. Provide electrical
connections between the new wet chemical systems and the existing
building fire alarm system. Provide electrical modifications to the
existing building electrical system to turn off electrical power to the
protected appliances in case of fire. Provide the initial 6 month and
1 year maintenance service for the wet chemical systems in accordance
with the manufacturer's maintenance manual. Estimated cost range
$25,000.00 to $100,000.00. Estimated time for completion ninety (90)
calendar days. ``The proposed contract listed here is being considered
for 100 percent set-aside for Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB)
concerns. Interested SDB concerns should, as early as possible but not
later than 15 July 1995, indicate interest in the acquisition by
providing to the contracting office above evidence of capability to
perform the work herein described and a positive statement of
eligibility as a small socially and economically disadvantaged business
concern. Evidence of capacity to obtain required bonds from an approved
surety and specific information which demonstrates the capability to
perform projects of this complexity and magnitude. Complete information
concerning management experience in similar work and current financial
statement shall be submitted with references. Letters of credit from
financial institutions will not be considered in lieu of a financial
statement. However, letters of credit will be accepted for the purpose
of substantiating financial responsibility. If the requested
information is not received from an adequate number of SDB concerns,
the solicitation will be issued on an unrestricted basis by amendment.
Even if you have sent the above information on a prior contract, you
must submit documentation that will become a part of this solicitation
file. Therefore replies to this office are requested from all
interested business concerns as well as from Small Disadvantaged
