proposed contract action is for supplies for which the Government
intends to solicit and negotiate, under authority of 10 USC 2304(c)(1),
Only One Responsible Source, FAR 6.302-1(b)(1). Since the Government
does not have the necessary technical data for a competitive
solicitation, the Request for Proposal will be issued to Datametrics
Corporation, Woodland Hills, CA 91367 for 13 each, Teleprinters,
Electrographic, NSN 5815-01-127-5867, P/O AN/TMQ-31 and AN/MSQ-103
Systems, Commercial Part Number 108200. However, all wishing to qualify
must include documentation such as test results, copy of purchase
orders, if the supplier was/is a vendor to the previous source, or a
statement from the previous source demonstrating that the supplier can,
in fact, supply an item that will be physically and functionally
interchangable (down to the repair part level) with the item acquired
from the previous supplier. Most recent, representative unit price was
$30,212.20 for a qty of 14 each, awarded on 12 January 1990. The
Government provides this data without assuming responsibility for its
accuracy or for any conclusions or interpretations which may be drawn
from this data. The data is provided solely for informational purposes
and should not be relied upon as a basis for preparation of an offer.
All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be
considered by the agency. The U.S. Army Communications- Electronics
Command (CECOM) has established an Electronic Bulletin Board (EBB) to
provide electronic transmission of Request for Proposals (RFP's) and
Invitations for Bids (IFB's) from Government to industry. As of 1
JANUARY 1995, HARD COPIES ARE NO LONGER BEING DISTRIBUTED. (Exceptions
are Post, Camp and Station Acquisitions.) All interested parties
wishing to do business with CECOM are invited to access, operate, send
and receive data from the CECOM EBB System. Detailed information
regarding system requirements are contained in the U.S. Army CECOM EBB
User's manual. A User's manual, Identification Code and password will
be issued upoon request. All requests must include 1) Company name, 2)
point(s) of contact, name(s) and title(s), 3) return address(es), and
4) telephone number(s). Please send your request in writing to either
