This public notice is to request suppliers to provide NTT with general referential information on similar products or technology prior to procurement of the intended product (mentioned below) by NTT. This public notice is also to request that any suppliers wishing to participate as a subcontractor in the procurement program of this product should declare their intentions to that effect. This public notice is not intended to guarantee public notification of procurement of the product. (1) Name: Integrated voice and Data Communication System (2) Overview: This system is to combine multifunction telephone that has wide display and offers voice, data, and image (hereinafter called ``displayphone'') to office automation tools, such as personal computer, workstation, displayphone (adaptively). This system consists of communication support station, which supports communication server function, multiple switching, and manage this system integrate etc.. To satisfy the user's needs, it can be the middle scale communication system by combining the small scale communication support stations. Displayphone has the function to communicate with the personal computer and voice terminal via wide area network. (3) Contents of RFI: NTT is inviting the following types of information on a product or technology similar to the above-mentioned system. NTT accepts partial information of these communication system (for example, that of displayphone) as well as entire information. But, if the providers give the information of components (available modules or softwares), NTT might regard them as a subcontractor. All supplied information will be regarded as non-secret information and may be disclosed to third parties in the form of, for example, inclusion in the corresponding Procurement Documentation, or may become available to third parties. In any case, NTT will not assume any responsibilities for possible disclosure of use of the supplied information. After preparing a list of supplied information, NTT will provide the list to suppliers who wish to be provided with it, to those who have responded to the request for supply of the information listed and to those who have purchased the Procurement Documentation relating to procurement of the product.
