The Government requests proposals to design and build an electronic system to transmit video over 2500 meters of coaxial cable commonly used for third wire sonar telemetry aboard commercial trawlers in the North Pacific. This will consist of an underwater unit which will connect to a Government-owned NTSC-TV camera mounted on a trawl, transmitting incoming video up the cable and a receiving consaole to be installed aboard the towing vessel which converts that transmission to standard NTSC video for recording and display. Delivery required by 09/96. All responsible sources may submit a quotation which shall be considered by the agency. (0171)
