The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division, Coastal Systems Station, Panama City, Florida, intends to award a sole-source contract to Unitron Incorporated for the procurement of Five (5) Frequency Converters. The Model PS-69-359 frequency converter is a static unit which converts primary 400 Hz three phase power to 60 Hz single phase. This converter is designed to provide 60 Hz power for ground and shipboard support equipment and requires considerably less maintenance and is more efficient than rotary equipment when subjected to normal usage. This converter is the only converter known which can be used to support Landing Craft Air Cushion (LCAC) Minecountermeasures (MCM) kit requirements. The Government does not own the technical data package for the frequency converter. The cost of this one time procurement is significantly lower than the cost of acquiring the technical data package and preparing a competitive acquisition package. The frequency converters shall be delivered no later than two weeks after contract award. Anticipated contract type is Firm-Fixed Price. All requests for the soliciation must be in writing.
