notification has been received in Gatt document TBT/Notification
G/95.171 dated 7 June 1995. 1. Member to Agreement notifying: Republic
of Korea. If applicable, name of local government involved (Articles
3.2 and 7.2). 2. Agency responsible: Industrial Advancement
Administration (IAA). 3. Notified under Article 2.10.1. 4. Products

Electrical appliances and materials. 5. Title and number of pages of
the notified document: Revision of the ``Regulation concerning the
marking of electrical appliances and materials''. 6. Description of
Content: The regulation requiring that operating instructions be
written on the product itself, in the Korean language only, has been
abolished. In principle, however, safety information should be provided
in a Korean language manual. In addition, the labelling requirements
concerning electrical appliances and materials which fall within
categories 1 and 2 of the administrative regulation of the act were
also moderated by reducing the number of marking items irrelevant to
consumer safety. 7. Objective and rationale: Facilitating trade in
