R -- SPONSORSHIP OF CHILDRENS SUMMER READING PROGRAM SOL AETC-SVS-01-95 DUE 062095 POC Mr John Franklin tel: 210/652-3410 The Air Education and Training Command's Directorate of Services is seeking Commercial Sponsorship of the 1996 Children's Summer Reading Program at the command's thirteen Air Force bases. Commercial sponsors from the business community are being sought to pay for printing promotional materials to publicize the program, to provide additional books, to provide prizes as incentives, and to provide refreshments for an end of summer reading program party. An estimated 1300 children will participate in the program. The Air Education and Training Command has 60,000 military personnel assigned and trains over 300,000 students each year. Sponsors have the opportunity to reach 500,000 military related consumers via sponsorship of Air Education and Training Command morale and welfare events. This is a joint venture promotion intended to be mutually beneficial to both sponsors and the libraries they support. Sponsorship benefits include event signage, mention in promotional materials, product displays, and other recognition and marketing opportunities. All offers will be considered. More than one sponsor may be accepted and additives will be considered. Requests for copies of solicitation must be received not later than August 15, 1995. This is a solicitation for commercial sponsorship by a nonappropriated fund instrumentality of the United States Government. It does not obligate appropriated funds of the government. (0171)
