49 -- DOWN-DRAFT POSITIVE-PRESSURE SPRAY BOOTH SOL F08651-95-B-0080 DUE 070995 POC Contact B. Hochmuth, (904) 882-5169, Contract Specialist, Contracting Officer, Bonnie Fitch. The Air Force Development Test Center (AFDTC) intends to solicit competitively for a drive-through Down Draft Positive Pressure Spray Booth/Oven with an in-ground concrete pit to support up to 10 ton vehicles / equipment. Booth must have front and rear swing out doors for drive through of vehicles/equipment to be placed inside the booth for corrosion control/painting. Booth must conform to all standards of safety set by OSHA as well as Federal, State, and local air and environmental regulations which limit the amount of volatile organic compounds (VOC) emissions to the atmosphere and future EPA air quality standards into the year 2010. Size of booth must be a minimum inside dimension of 38 feet L X 16 feet W X 14 feet H and outside dimensions must not exceed 39 feet L X 17 Feet W X 17 Feet H due to size limitations. The booth must be installed inside a drive-thru-bay with the bay's internal dimensions being: 40' length, 20' width and 20' height. Bay roll-up door dimensions are 13' wide by 14' high. Booth must be insulated and must be constructed of double skin galvanized steel panels, booth must have upper and lower interior lights, full ceiling filtration, fast drying heating system, fully automatic control panel, and dry chemical fire suppression system. A charcoal filtering system to remove VOC emissions is required. The air flow system must be minimum 10 HP 3 Phase 220/208 VAC industrial type blower motors. Air exchange in the booth must be a minimum of six times per minute. A fresh air, filtered breathing system for the technician that meets standards listed above and OSHA CFR 1910.134 must be installed. The heating system must be natural gas with stainless steel burners for long life that can produce 1,000,000 BTU/Hr minimum. All demolition, site preparation and installation will be required as a separate part of work to ensure full operation upon completion. Although demolition and installation will be required, it may be necessary to separate it from the supply requirement, and may be listed as a separate item or awarded as a separate item. Standard commercial warranty on installation, electrical components, and mechanical components is required. Required delivery is to be determined but should be within 12 months after award of contract. Delivery and installation date will be provided by the contracting office.
