Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USUHS), the
Department of Defense School of Medicine, has a requirement for
laboratory and office conversions to include demolition, removal,
disposal and installation of laboratory cabinets. Contractor will
provide all necessary personnel, labor, special tools and equipment to
install laboratory casework and benchtop, to include base and wall
cabinets, support structures with air, gas, plumbing (supply and waste)
and vacuum outlets. All laboratory benches shall consist of metal base
and chemical resistant laboratory grade plastic laminated tops; all
lab benchtops shall be constructed in accordance with the Statement of
Work; air and vacuum piping shall be type ``L'' hard drawn copper
tubing with copper; gas piping shall be schedule 40, black iron pipe
with malleable iron fittings; all exposed air, gas and vacuum piing
shall be enclosed in a metal reagent rack; sink faucets shall be
gooseneck type with integral vacuum breaker; water piping shall be type
``L'' hard drawn copper tubing with copper iron fittings; all drain
piping shall be acid resistant PVC; and all AVG outlets shall be ground
key service cocks. Contractor will be given approval to purchase
cabinets off the GSA schedule. All responsible sources who have the
capability to meet this requirement should contact the Directorate of
Contracting or persons listed above within fifteen days from the date
