PIN ELECTRONICS MODULES SOL RFP5-16124/229 NASA/Goddard Space Flight Center(GSFC) intends to issue Request for Proposal (RFP)5-16124/229, on a sole source basis to Synopsys, Inc. the delivery of sixteen (16) electronic pin modules. These modules interface electrically, mechanically and thermally with the LM-1200 Logic Modeler system and will allow the insertion of actual electronic devices into ViewLogic simulations. This system was built to unique specifications and the cost of rebuilding these modules will cost more than the original system. The anticipated delivery schedule for the electronics is two weeks after the effective date of the contract. We anticipate a firm fixed price contract. We consider Synopsys uniquely qualified under the statutory authority 10 U.S.C.2304(c)(1), as Only One Responsible Source.
