R -- AUTOMATION SUPPORT FOR THE RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT INFORMATION SYSTEM/BUDGET ALLOCATION SYSTEM SOL N00014-95-R-0009 POC Point of contact: C. The Office of Naval Research is seeking a contractor to provide automation support for the Research and Development Information System/Budget Allocation System. The scope of this support involves but is not limited to: (1) programming support for the automation of the various budget drills and financial management reporting requirements encountered by ONR Code 811, (2) provide ADP support for existing Code 811 automated information systems to include data base management and maintenance, and software programming to implement enhancements, (3) provide expertise in electronic data transmission to facilitate the exchange of data between ONR 811 and the Navy Comptroller (NAVCOMPT), the Assistant Secretary of the Navy for Research and Development, and Acquisition (ASN(RD&A)), Chief of Naval Operations (CNO) and all System Commands, (4) provide ADP assistance to ONR 811 in identifying problems and surveying emerging information requirements, correlating them with existing system strategies, and implementing approved changes within the scope of the level of effort prescribed in the contract. The contractor shall be responsible for providing all aspects of the services. A secret clearance is required for all personnel working on this contract. The work shall be accomplished in the ONR 811 offices using the following or similar government furnished equipment: VAX 4000/300 Mainframe, and DELL IBM Compatible PCs. The requirement is for one man-year of effort with an option of an additional one-half man-year per year, if needed.
