This project includes, but is not limited to, selective demolition including the partial removal of existing slab-on-grade for column foundation construction, removal of existing masonry for new door opening at mezzanine level, and isolated masonry cutting, grouting and patching of support beam bearing areas; the erection of steel support members; placement of concrete composite floor slab; construction of continuous perimeter rail, wall mirrors and sport flooring; the installation of steel stairs with intermediate landing; modifications of existing ventilation system with additional ductwork and new industrial type oscillating fans at mezzanine level; extension of existing fire sprinkler system; modification of electrical system to provide additional outlets and required lighting under mezzanine floor; and the relocation of the existing surveillance camera. Estimated cost range of the proposed acquisition is between $100,000 and $250,000. Responsible sources may request this solicitation by letter, or FAX (719 472-4404) containing their business size and street address. For informational purposes the applicable SIC code and small business size standard for this solicitation is one where the average annual receipts of the concern and its affiliates for the preceding three fiscal years does not exceed $17 million, applicable SIC code is 1542. The project will be set-aside for Small Disadvantaged Businesses (SDBs) if sufficient interest is received. SDBs must respond no later than 15 days after the date of publication of the Notice, and furnish SBA certification of the firm's SDB eligibility, the SIC code for which they are eligible, a financial statement from their bank, and a list of previous similar projects to include size, dollar value and point of contact with phone number for further information, information from bonding company establishing the SDB's bonding capacity (use of individual sureties must be in compliance with FAR 28.203). At least two responsible SDB firms must respond with the above information in the required time period or the project will become unrestricted and available for any size company to bid. The solicitation is tentatively scheduled for issuance on or about 19 Jul 95. Women-owned and small disadvantaged business concerns are encouraged to submit offers. Copies of this solicitation are limited to 50 and availability is on a first-come-first-served basis. Concerns may review the solicitation at this address or local plan rooms if copies are no longer available. NOTICE TO BIDDERS: Funds are not presently available for this project. It is our intent to award a contract based upon Fiscal Year (FY) 1995 funding actions; however, if FY 1995 funds become available, award will be made prior to 30 Sep 95.
