(804) 898-2271. Furnish all plant, labor, materials and equipment for
the renovation of the Washington Auditorium at the U.S. Coast Guard
Reserve Training Center in Yorktown, VA. The project work involves
renovation of the toilet rooms and lobby finishes, installation of
aluminum storefront, insulating glazing, quarry tile, sheet vinyl,
ceramic floor and wall tile, suspended acoustical ceiling, lighting,
access ramp and railing system, mechanical and plumbing systems,
asbestos removal and disposal, and patching of all damaged or disturbed
during construction. Contract performance time is two-hundred and ten
(210) days after notice to proceed. Estimated range is between $250,000
- $500,000. This is an unrestricted procurement per PL 100-656,
Business Opportunity Development Reform Act of 1988. Offers will be
accepted from both large and small businesses. For the purpose of
determining size status, a small business is one whose average annual
receipts for the preceding three years does not exceed $17 million (SIC
1542). This solicitation is subject to the availability of FY95 funds.
Solicitation packages will be available o/a 31 July 1995 for a
nonrefundable fee of $20.00 per set; requests will be honored until
supply is exhausted. Written requests must be accompanied by a
certified check, cashier's check or money order payable to the U.S.
Coast Guard in the amount of $20.00; no telephone requests for
solicitation packages will be accepted. A pre-bid conference/site visit
will be held o/a 11 August 1995; reservations must be made through the

Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of
Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU), has a program to
assist minority, women-owned and disadvantaged business enterprises to
acquire short-term working capital assistance for
transportation-related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT
Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide
accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $500,000.
