AFB LA, 71110-2271 Z -- ASBESTOS ABATEMENT REQUIREMENTS CONTRACT, SOL F16602-95-R0018.
DUE 080895. Contact TSgt Donna D. Kinley, Contract Specialist,
318-456-6832; Kathleen Lee, Contracting Officer. This project includes
asbestos abatement of friable and nonfriable asbestos material in all
base facilities including housing. This contract will run for one year
with one or two option years (based on performance) and will include
asbestos abatement utilizing unit prices line items. Types of asbestos
containing materials which can be expected under this contract include
surfacing materials, thermal system insulation and other miscellaneous
nonfriable products such as floor tile, ceiling tile, roofing felt,
outdoor siding, cementitious concrete like products, and fabric.
Contractor must possess, as a minimum, certification as an asbestos
abatement contractor, three years experience in the performance of
asbestos abatement projects and at least six asbestos abatement
contracts during the past year, two of which must be for abatement
projects of over $100,000 and preferably one over $200,000. 1
Job--Deliver to Barksdale AFB, F16602 95 R0018--Anticipated issue date
7 July 95. Anticipated opening date is 8 Aug 95. The magnitude of this
project is between $250,000 and $500,000 per year. This action is being
considered for 100% set-aside for Small Disadvanaged Business (SDB)
concerns. Interested SDB concerns should notify this office in writing,
as of their intention to bid on the project as a prime contractor as
early as possible but no later than 30 June 95. This notification must
include a positive statement of eligibility as a small socially and
economically disadvantaged business concern, evidence of capacity to
obtain required bonds, and specific information which demonstrates the
capability to perform projects of this complexity and magnitude.
Complete information concerning management experieince in similar work
and financial status should be submitted with references. If adequate
interest is not received from SDB concerns, the solicitation will be
issued on an unrestricted basis without further notice. Therefore,
replies to this office are still requested from all interested business
concerns as well as from Small Disadvantaged Business concerns. The
small business size standard is a concern, including it's affilitates
having an average amount of sales or receipts for the preceding three
fiscal years not in excess of $7,000,000. The Standard Industrial
Classification is 1799. When requesting bid sets, provide your business
size and identify if you are a woman-owned or minority business. Plans
