The subject project is intended to replace existing HVAC Equipment, replace or modify spa and pool equipment, relocate chemical mixing and storage function to a new area, and reroute main pool drainage line. Work includes but is not limited to construction of an addition to the existing building for relocation of water treatment chemicals, demolition of existing HVAC and pool equipment, installation of new pool equipment, upgrading electrical service, rerouting of main drainage line to sanitary sewer, and installation of maintenance access driveway. Performance period for Firm Fixed Price construction contract awarded as a result of this solicitation will be 150 days. Invitation for Bid (IFB) is limited and will be furnished to requester on a first received, first served basis until supply is exhausted. Telephone requests will not be honored. The issue date will be on or about 10 July 95 with bid opening date 30 days after issuance. The magnitude of this project is between $100,000 and $250,000. This action is being considered for 100% set-aside for Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB) concerns. Interested SDB concerns should notify our office, in writing, of their intention to bid on the project as a prime contractor as early as possible but no later than 21 July 95. This notification must include a positive statement of eligibility as a small socially and economically disadvantaged business concern, evidence of capacity to obtain required bonds, and specific information which demonstrates the capability to perform projects of this complexity and magnitude. Complete information concerning management experience in similar work and financial status should be submitted with references. If adequate interest is not received from SDB concerns, the solicitaton will be issued on an unrestricted basis without further notice.
