Garcia, Contracting Officer, 505-988-6852 Furnish materials, equipment and labor for removal of assorted sizes of underground fuel storage tanks and replace with above ground vaulted fuel. The work will also include: Removal and disposal of existing pumps, piping, wiring, pump islands, and other appurtenances associated with the old tanks; removal and replacement of existing asphalt pavement at some sites; removal and stockpiling of contaminated soil, if encountered; site grading; construction of concrete slabs on grade; installation of automatic fuel management and inventory control systems at each site; installation of electrical conduit; wiring, and equipment; and other miscellaneous items necessary to complete the work. New tank installation for vehicle fueling service shall be ground mounted, concrete encased, above ground tanks with minimum 6 - inch thick concrete encasement meeting NFPA and USC fire code requirements and all applicable state and local codes. Tanks shall also have integral spill and overfill protection, and they shall have integrally mounted pump and dispensing unit with metering. The project locations are Sunset Crater Volcano, Wuptaki, and Walnut Canyon National Monuments. These Monuments are located within 35 miles from Flagstaff, Arizona. Canyon De Chelly National Monument is located approximately 2 miles from Chinle, Arizona. The total performance period is 120 days from date of notice to proceed. The solicitation will be full and open competition in accordance with PL100-656. The estimated price range is $250,000 to $500,000. Formal request of the solicitation is preferred. (0172)
