Pope Air Force Base seeks a firm with general construction experience relative to industrial facilities to provide general construction services for the construction of a 2600 square foot LANTRIN Facility at Pope Air Force Base, North Carolina. The project involves the construction of a pre-engineered metal building complete with site work. Construction required includes general site work, utility connections, pavement, landscaping work, concrete work, structural steel construction, miscellaneous steel work, rough and finish carpentry work, standing seam metal roof system, metal exterior doors and windows, painting, signage, fire alarm, plumbing, heating ventilation and air conditioning, electrical power lighting and auxillary systems work and other trade items as indicated in the bid documents. The magnitude of this project is between $250,000.00 and $500,000. The estimated period of performance is 180 calendar days. This proposed acquisition is being considered for 100% set aside for Small Disadvantaged Business Firms (SDB). Interested SDB firms need to submit their interest not later than 5 Jul 95 and provide evidence of eligibility. If adequate interest is not received from SDB firms, the solicitation will be issued unrestricted; therefore, replies are requested from all business concerns. SDB eligibility evidence to include performance references, previous similar projects completed, and positive statement of eligibility as a socially and economically disadvantaged business concern, along with bonding capability.
