The work shall consist of, but is not limited to: 1) Removal of the existing office/work area and the construction of new to bring the facility into code compliance, 2) Modifications to the site to construct a loading dock on the north side of the building, 3) The installation os a fire supression system for the entire building, including the new office/work area,4) the reuse of some HVAC equipment and installation of some new equipment as indicated on the drawings, 5) Construction of a barrier between the conveyor/work area and the office area to prove protection during the construction period, 6) And all other work described in the plans and specifications. This is a firm, fixed-price contract. The estimated cost of construction is between $500,000.00 and $1,000,000.00. The performance period will be 260 days. This action is being considered for 100% set-aside for Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB) concerns. Interested SDB concerns should notify our office, in writing, of their intention to bid on the project as a prime contractor as early as possible, but no later than 16 Jul 95. This notification must include a positive statement of eligibility as a small socially and economically disadvantaged business concern, evidence of capacity to obtain required bonds, and specific information which demonstrates the capability to perform projects of this complexity and magnitude. Complete information concerning management experience in similar work and financial status should be submitted with references. Only mail or facsimile requests for bid packages will be accepted.
