The work shall consist of but not limited to addition of public restrooms, new sloped roof with smoke partitions in attic, new phone system, fire extinguishers and installation with cabinets, furr down at walls and ceilings, exterior lighting, partial demolition of existing building/grounds area, provide general construction, provide electrical system and mechanical system, probide new package chiller and boiler units including fan coil units with all piping included, replace fire alarm system, replace cable TV cable and outlets, clean the site of construction debris, refurbish the walls, floors, and ceilings, and provide new sprinkler system.--This is a firm-fixed price contract.--The estimated cost of construction is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00.--The performance period will be 360 days.--This action is being considered for 100% set-aside for Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB) concerns.--Interested SDB concerns should notify our office, in writing, of their intention to bid on the project as a prime contractor as early as possible, but no later than 17 Jul 95.--This notification must include a positive statement of eligibility as a small socially and economically disadvantaged business concern, evidence of capacity to obtain required bonds, and specific information which demonstrates the capability to perform projects of this complexity and magnitude.--Complete information concerning management experience in similar work and financial status should be submitted with references.--Only mail or facsimile requests for bid packages will be accepted.--This office proposes to issue IFB F03602-95-B0019 on or about 27 Jul 95.--See numbered Note 6.
