The work shall consist of, but is not limited to: 1) Renovation of the entire building, demolition of existing electrical and mechanical systems and construction of new electrical, mechanical, fire protection and sprinkler systems, construction of new masonry to the entire exterior of the building, wall covering, doors, floors, windows, carpeting, and installation of a new communications system to include telephone and data lines, 2) A new sloped roof to include demolition of existing flat roof, and 3) A new road to link existing road to existing parking lot. This is a firm, fixed-price contract. The estimated cost of construction is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. The performance period will be 365 days. This action is being considered for 100% set-aside for Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB) concerns. Interested SDB concerns should notify our office, in writing, of their intention to bid on the project as a prime contractor as early as possible, but no later than 15 Jul 95. This notification must include a positive statement of eligibility as a small socially and economically disadvantaged business concern, evidence of capacity to obtain required bonds, and specific information which demonstrates the capability to perform projects of this complexity and magnitude. Complete information concerning management experience in similar work and financial status should be submitted with references. Only mail or facsimile requests for bid packages will be accepted.
