Kerr Dam and Reservoir, Mecklenburg County, Virginia. The headgates and lifting chains are accessible through the Headgate Bay and must be removed through the bridge deck across the dam which will require traffic control and heavy construction equipment. The work also includes repairs to the machinery bases and chain guides which will require steel fabrication and machinery of special components. Estimated cost of the project is between $100,000 and $250,000. All work shall be completed 270 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed. Advertising date is scheduled for 7 July 1995, with bid opening 8 August 1995. Specs are $25.00 per set and will be available O/A 7 July 1995.
