16 -- DUAL TRAILING WIRE IMPROVEMENTS POC Contact, Jan K. Wisor, Phone (703)604-1920 The Naval Air Systems Command intends to procure Dual Trailing Wire (DTWA) Improvements for the E-6 Aircraft. The contract modification will be issued on a sole source basis to Rockwell International, Communications Systems Division, Richardson, Texas on contract N00019-93-C-0136. The contractor shall design, build, test and install the replacement LTWA Upper and Lower Exist Pulleys as well as relocate the LTWA and UTWA Velocity Encoders. In addition, the contractor shall upgrade and improve the LTWA low nesting tension and firmware. Rockwell International is the only responsible source with the required knowledge, experience and technical data capable of implementing the changes in a timely and effective manner.
