The AFFTC intends to purchase from Datatape Incorporated one Recorder/Reproducer. The PCM reproducer shall have the capability to simulataneously record five PCM streams, a voice channel, and IRIG timing channel. The Pulse Code Modulation (PCM) recorder shall have the capability to handle the following PCM formats and data rates: NRZ-L format at 5 Mbits/s for each of the 5 channels and BI-phase shall have the capability to digitally record an analog voice channel with a maximum bandwidth of 3500 hertz. The PCM recorder shall have the capability to record the following IRIG standards: IRIG A, IRIG B, IRIG G. The PCM recorder shall have the capability to interface to a digital linear tape and shall include the device driver for the Digital Linear Tape. The PCM recorder shall have the capability to playback the data in the identical input format (including signal level) while maintaining the same relative data/time correlation.
