The tasking is sole source to uofa based on their current development of standards for classes of natural and cultural resource data that conforms to current FIP standards. There is aneed to establish compatibility and transferability of data with other southwest governmental agencies who have also adopted theuofa standard, I.E. Organ pipe national monument, Luke Air Forcebase, etc. Uofa is the only known source capable of meeting thisrequirement.
