Work consists of an energy audit and system to identify potential energy conservation projects avilable at VA Medical Center, Northampton, MA, teaching the proposed methods to meet the FY 2005 Energy Conservation Goal. Proposed energy conservation projects will be identified, preliminary cost estimates developed for work, and all VA energy conservation forms will be completed. Following identification of proposed projects, a Professional Industrial Hygienist and AIHA Certified Laboratory will assess potential projects to determine if asbestos is present in any proposed project and the cost to abate it. Plans must be supplied to VA on Autocad. Selection will be based on recent specialized experience; professional capacity to accomplish work; professional qualifications of staff and consultants assigned to the project; the location of the firm in relation to this medical center; and experience and capabilities using CAAD. Applications will be accepted from firms that maintain an established office in the states of Massachusetts, Connecticut, Vermont, New Hampshire, Rhode Island or Maine.
