R -- SOURCES TO PROVIDE OVERHAUL/REBUILD OR CORE EXCHANGE OF VARIOUS COMPONENTS FOR THE MAIN DIESEL ENGINES ON THE 378' CUTTERS SOL DTCG85-95-B-625K27 DUE 080895 POC Rebecca Budde, Contracting Officer, (510) 437-3988. The USCG Maintenance and Logistics Command Pacific, Naval Engineering Division, seeks to identify qualified sources to provide overhaul/rebuild or core exchange of various components in accordance with 12,000 hour preventative maintenance service requirements on the 378' cutters. The main diesel engines are Fairbanks Morse Model 38TD8-1/8. Requirements include: vertical drives, turbocharges, supercharges and pumps for the following systems; cooling, lube oil, fuel injection and fuel boost. Requirement may also include open and inspect, overhauls and/or core exchanges of the above components. Overhauls will be in accordance with OEM tech bulletins or OEM standard overhaul requirements. Firms who believe they have the capability, to meet the requirements stated above, should provide qualification statements addressing specific experience to this office by 7 July 1995.
