(DPSC), TECHNOLOGY MODERNIZATION CONFERENCE AND CUSTOMER EXPO, JULY 18-20, 1995 The Defense Personnel Support Center (DPSC), Directorate of Clothing & Textiles, the DoD buying activity responsible for the acquisition of clothing and textiles for U.S. Military personnel worldwide, has scheduled its Third Annual Technology Modernization Conference and Customer EXPO for 18-20 July, 1995. Our theme this year is ``DPSC 2000''. All activities are planned to be held at the Valley Forge Convention Center, 1200 First Avenue, King of Prussia, PA 19406. Registration begins at 7:30 A.M. on 18 July followed at 8:00 by the Customer EXPO. This Technology Modernization Conference will begin on 19 July at 8:00 A.M. This year's program will include: Universities and colleges participating in the Apparel Research Network (ARN) sponsored by the Defense Logistics Agency; the American Textile Partnership (AMTEX), which will give an update on Computer Aided Fabric Evaluation (CAFE); training on writing performance specifications; and the Military Services update on year ``2000'' Clothing and Individual Equipment Items. Emphasis remains on modernization and conversion of military specifications and standards to non-government standards, commercial item descriptions or performance specifications.
