Y -- MISSILE ALERT FACILITY (MAF), F.E. WARREN AFB, WYOMING SOL DACA45-95-B-0093 DUE 082995 POC Contact Contracting Division at: (402)221-4266. The work will include the following: (Approx. quantities) Four selected construction sites, with staggered starting dates, located in the vicinity of Sterling, Colorado; Scottsbluff and Sidney, Nebraska; and Cheyenne/Pine Bluffs, Wyoming. Work at each construction site includes: some minor demolition of existing 4,302 SF wood frame constructed MAF facility (includes asbestos removal), utilities and asphalt paving associated with the new construction; construction of new additions to the MAF facility (1,140 SF all on ground level) includes: primarily wood (with supplemental steel support) framing w/ steel siding on exterior walls, asphalt shingle roof, wood trusses and joists, interior partitions of gypsum wallboard on wood studs, casework, HVAC (system will consist of four furnaces), diesel or gas fired water heater and remote storage tank, plumbing, electrical wiring and lighting. The estimated construction cost of this project is between $1,000,000 and $2,500,000. Contractor's Quality Control will be a requirement in this contract. The Contractor will be required to commence work within 10 days after notice to proceed and complete the work 450 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed. Provisions will be included for liquidated damages in case of failure to complete the work in the time allowed. Performance and payment bonds will be required. Bid sets will be available on/a July 27, 1995. Half-size plans and specifications will be furnished upon request. All requests for solicitation packages should be made in writing no later than 14 days prior to bid opening. After such time, packages will be furnished if supply is available. It has been determined that the number of sets be limited to 1 (one) per firm (additional copies will be the responsibility of the requestor).
