Webster, (816)922-2062 The VA Medical Center, Kansas City, MO intends
to solicit offers for the rental of a stand alone Immulite Immunoassay
System base on a reagent cost per test program with the following
specifications: (1) The system must have a throughput of up to 120
tests per hour. (2) The system must be completely automated with
''Walk-Away'' capabilities. (3) The system must utilize
chemiluminescent technology. The substrate must be enzyme-amplified
using Adamantyl Dioxetane Phosphate only. (4) The system's luminometer
must make 12 readings of each test unit and give results based on the
average of 10 readings (no less than 10, no more than 12). (5) The
system must have continuous reagent access for all reagents, and
continuous reagent monitoring. (6) The system must have automatic
luminometer attentuation via a neutral density filter to insure precise
measurements on both the low and high sides of an analyte measurement.
(7) The system must have a reaction vessel that contains an assay
specific antibody coated bead and acts as a washing system that allows
for mutiple discrete washes within seconds by spinning on its vertical
axis. (8) They system must maintain Reagents refrigerated on board at
no more than 15 degrees C. to optimize reagent reactivity. (9) The
system must provide Liquid reagents that are ready to use. (10) System
must have minimal daily startup of 3 mins. (11) System must provide
fully automated 3rd generation TSH, with analytical range down to
0.002uIU/ml. (12) All reagents, reaction vessel and sample cup holders
must be Barcoded. (13) System must automatically dispose of reaction
vessel. (14) System must offer intact PTH. (15) Substrate must remain
stable on the instrument at least 30 days at room temperature. (16)
System must store at least 2 master curves for any given analyte. (17)
System must dispose of reaction vessel automatically. (18) System must
include a ''Tutorial On-Line Reference Software'' to enhance training.
(19) System must have Real-Time software that monitors reagents and
all patient tests in progress. (20) System must allow for Patient and
quality control retrieval and tracking. (21) For mechanical symplicity,
this system must have only one pipetting arm. The above instrument
system in deemed essential to the Endocrine Lab's technical continuity
and efficiency since most of their current manual radioisotope methods
are of DPC origin and therefore the patient results will be in
agreement. This is also true of the current Nichols third generation
manual TSH method the lab is currently performing which correlates well
with this system. The rental of the Immulite will guarantee the
continuity of patient care. If no responses are received, we intend to
negotiate with Diagnostic Products Corp., Los Angeles, CA. Closing
date is July 31, 1995. Submit requests for solicitation in writing to
this office. No telephone requests accepted. FAX is 816-922-3331. SIC
