The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Philadelphia District, intends to negotiate on a Sole Source basis with Trimble Navigation, for the Global Positioning System Upgrade to RTK2 and additional GPS hardware and software to augment current District equipment. Trimble Navigation is considered the only provider of the required services due to proprietary rights of the software. This notice of intent is not a Request for Competitive Proposals. No contract award will be made on the basis of this notice. This notice does not constitute a solicitation document. No solicitation document exists. Requests for such documents will not be considered. However, all information received within forty-five (45) days after date of publication of this notice will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to open the required to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The Government will not pay for information received. Delivery is required within 30 days from the date of contract award. SIC Code for this procurement is 7371. DPA number CENAP-94-004 applies.
