PROVIDENCE, RHODE ISLAND; ADMINISTRATOR GOLDIN KEYNOTE LUNCHEON SPEAKER
The 1995 NASA Technology & Business Conference will be held at the $350

Glenn W. Wright, director, NASA Business Outreach Program, announced
today. ``With the twin themes Start to Increase Your Sales on August
8-9 in Providence, Rhode Island, and One Year's Worth of Marketing in
One Day, in One Location,'' he added, ``the Conference will include
many technology and procurement opportunities, discussions and
networking with representatives from NASA, prime contractors, NASA's
Field Centers, small businesses, minority-owned and women-owned
businesses.'' ``An added attraction at this year's Conference,'' said
Dr. William F. Gasko, chairman and chief executive officer of the
Center for Technology Commercialization (CTC), and co-host with NASA of
this year's Conference, will be highly successful technology transfer
showcase studies available for interactive review by attendees. ``They
include such innovations,'' added Dr. Gasko, ``as the latest virtual
reality experience, a space age insulin pump, digitized sky surveys,
electronic picturebook advances, and the latest microencapsulation
technology to dissipate oil spills. Other exhibits will feature an
electric racing car, a compliant joint `walker,' and enhanced battery
technology.'' According to Wright, the Conference is planned for
maximum networking and opportunity discussions, with primary
exihibitors and participants to include NASA Field Centers --
technology commercialization offices, technical and procurement
representatives and small business specialists -- as well as prime
contractors and subcontractors, technical procurement and small
business representatives, and historically black colleges and
universities and minority institution representatives. Conference
attendees and participants will be service, product and technology
oriented companies that are small businesses, and minority-owned and
women-owned businesses which, according to Wright, ``should seriously
consider attending to insure their firms optimize their competitive
positions.'' For more information, call 1-800-861-5037. Loren Data Corp. http://www.ld.com (SYN# 0639 19950627\SP-0003.MSC)
