X -- HARDWARE MAINTENANCE SUPPORT. Sol CC-95-R-0023. POC John P. Plott, Contracting Officer (202) 874-4721. The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) requires the services of a qualified contractor to provide remedial and preventive maintenance on all Amdahl equipment and firmware at its Landover, MD data center. The contractor must ensure that the equipment is maintained and operated according to the manufacturer's specifications. The contractor will also be required, when requested by the OCC, to assist in the determination of any required software adjustments due to hardware or firmware upgrades. To be responsive to this requirement, the Contractor must have a minimum of five references in which the Contractor performed maintenance on 5995 and 6000 Series Amdahl equipment. The Contractor must also have at least five years of experience maintaining the series of Amdahl equipment. The Contractor shall maintain the equipment and firmware in such a condition to continue to conform to the applicable Amdahl specifications and remain eligible for Amdahl certification. The OCC requires 24 hour a day, 7 day a week maintenance support. A repair technician must arrive at OCC's data center within two (2) hours after notification of equipment malfunction and the problem must be repaired within 12 hours after problem identification. The Contractor shall maintain a stock of manufacturer-recommended spare parts, which are new or equal in performance to new parts, in type and quantity to meet OCC's reliability criteria of 97%. The proposed contract will be a firm-fixed price, multi-year contract. Solicitation CC-95-R-0023 is anticipated to be released by the middle of July, 1995.
