Z -- REPLACE SHINGLE ROOFING SYSTEM IN CARDINAL HEIGHTS HOUSING AREA SOL F31601-95-BA018. DUE 310895. Contact TSgt Nelson R. This requirements contract shall include complete removal of the existing sloped shingle roof covering down to the deck in preparation and replacement with new fiberglass asphalt shingle roofing. A complete roofing system shall be fugues/algae resistant, fire and wind resistance rated UL Class ``A'' with 25 year material and labor warranty. This system shall be supported by shingle mate, Asphalt Saturated glass reinforced underlayment that resists wrinkling and buckling (one layer of felt for slopes 4'' per foot and higher and one layer of shingle mate for slopes less than 4'' per foot), hip and ridges, shingles, ridge vents, metal edge flashing, vent flashing, and other waterproofing and accessories. New wood shall match the same thickness of existing warped or rotten wood to be replaced. New metal drip edge shall be galvanized steel. Color of shingles shall be compatible with the exterior color of each housing unit and approved by the Contracting Officer. The estimated cost of this project is between $250,000 and $500,000. This proposed acquisition is being considered for 100% set-aside for small disadvantaged business (SDB). Interested SDB firms need to submit their interest not later than 17 July 95 and provide evidence of eligibility. If adequate interest is not received from SDB firms, the solicitation will be issued unrestricted; therefore, replies are requested from all business concerns. SDB eligibility evidence to include performance references, previous similar projects completed, and positive statement of eligibility as a socially and economically disadvantaged business concern, along with bonding capability. All responsible sources may submit an offer which will be considered. Only written requests for solicitation package will be acknowledged. (172)
