Z -- BASEWIDE ROOFING, REQUIREMENTS CONTRACT FOR BASEWIDE ROOFING SOL F31601-95-B0040. DUE 310895. Contact TSgt Nelson R. Young III, 910-394-2826/or John Howard, 910-394-6278, Contracting Officer. This requirements contract shall be awarded for the purpose of providing basewide roofing replacement at Pope AFB, NC. Work orders for projects shall be issued through individual delivery orders. This contract shall include complete removal of the existing roofing system down to the deck in preparation for the construction of the following: Built-up roofs; design and installation of standing seam metal roofs; EPDM roofing system on tapered insulation; and shingle roof with 3-Tab 25 year fungus/algae resistant shingles. All work shall consist of miscellaneous repairs to include deck repair, metal flashing, extension for exhaust fans, sealing and caulking for skylights, metal siding, etc. Removal of existing roofs could include asbestos abatement. The estimated cost of this project is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. This proposed acquisition is being considered for 100% set-aside for small disadvantaged business (SDB). Interested SDB firms need to submit their interest not later than 17 July 95 and provide evidence of eligibility. If adequate interest is not received from SDB firms, the solicitation will be issued unrestricted; therefore, replies are requested from all business concerns. SDB eligibility evidence to include performance references, previous similar projects completed, and positive statement of eligibility as a socially and economically disadvantaged business concern along with bonding capability.
