COLE, CONTRACTING OFFICER, TEL 806/885-3995 Project consists of upgrading the existing Airfield Station Base Beacon, which is a duplex 24-inch drum type rotating beacon, Westinghouse P/N 1568838, with a refurbished/retrofitted beacon. Connect the new beacon to the wiring feeding the existing beacon enabling manual operation of the beacon from the airfield control tower. Start-up and verify proper operation of the new beacon. Work shall be performed at Reese AFB, located 10 miles west of Lubbock, TX. Invitation for Bids will be issued on or about 24 Jul 95. Performance time is 30 calendar days. The magnitude of this project is between $25,000 and $100,000. A bid guarantee amount of twenty percent (20%) shall be submitted with the bid on the proper forms. This is full & open competition unless two or more responsible/responsive bids are received from Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB) concerns, at which time it will then become an SDB Set Aside. The Standard Industrial Classification Code is 1796. The related small business size standard is $7 million.
