The NSI-1 is a consum able pyrotechnic device used by the Shuttle and other Agency programs and the Department of Defense.This requirement shall now be procured competi tively among all qualified sources. --The NSI-1's shall be manufactured in accordance with the requirements of the statement of work and the NASA Standard Initiator Design and Performa nce Specification (SKD26100066). --NASA requires the delivery of 5000 initiators under the contract. --NASA requires delivery of the units to Kennedy Space Center. --NASA requires delivery of the units no later than July 1996.
