The Government intends to enter into a sole source contract under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) implemented by FAR 6.302-1(b)(2) for the mold with which to manufacture the FDECU Condenser Fan (Airflow part number 0406.0169), technical data applicable to the Airflow design, and for the right to produce the condenser fan for Government use. Procurement of the above items will allow the Government to competitively procure the condenser fan on a build-to-print basis for production. Airflow Research and Manufacturing is the only proven source for the condenser fan and no other type of fan will satisfy the user requirements. See Note 22. (0178)
