215-441-2448, NAWC-AD Warminster, PA 18974-0591 The Naval Air Warfare
Center Aircraft Division, Warminster, PA 18974-0591 seeks to identify
qualified sources of production of long wavelength (8-12 micrometers)
Infrared Focal Plane Array (IRFPA) IRFPA/Dewar Assemblies for FLIR
applications. The IRFPA must be at least 240 X 4 in TDI. This high
resolution requirement demands detector sizes no larger than 25
micrometers X 28 mocrometers + or - 0.2 micrometers with average
detectivity of greater than or equal to 2.3E11 for f/1.7 with a cut-off
10.3 micrometers + or - 0.1 micrometers. Two soft defects (not in the
center 100 channel) and no hard defects are allowed. Soft defects are
those with detectivity degradation of one-half. The 1/f knee for 90% of
the lines must be less than or equal to 10hz. A variety of operating
conditions (background radiation and integration times) requires
on-focal-plane partitioning capability. The Dewar must be versatile,
with the same mechanical interface for JT, Sterling, or IDCA cooling.
Required rate for these units of at least 20 units/month for a one-year
period. This is not a Request for Proposal, no is it an Invitation for
Bids, and is not to be construed as a committment by the Government to
ultimately issue an IFB, RFP, RFQ, or contract. All interested sources
are to send information to C. Shen, M/S 07, Naval AIr Warfare Center,
Aircraft Division, Warminster, PA 18974-0591 or FAX 215-441-3470.
