equipment necessary to perform routine drydock repairs to the USCGC
PAMLICO (WLIC-800). The major items which may be performed include but
not limited to the following: 1. Inspect and Test Spuds and Spudwell
Liners, 2. Remove, Inspect, and Reinstall Propeller shafts, 3. Renew
Water-Lubricated Shaft Bearings, 4. Renew Shaft Sleeves, 5. Remove,
Inspect, and Reinstall Propellers, 6. Clean and Test Grid Coolers, 7.
Overhaul, Renew and Test Valves, 8. Preserve Transducer Hull Rings and
Renew Depth Indicating Transducers, 9. Remove, Inspect and Reinstall
Rudder Assemblies, 10. Overhaul and Test Single Arm Boat Davit, 11.
Clean and Inspect Diesel Fuel Tanks, 12. Clean and Inspect Voids and
Ballast Tanks, 13. Preserve Seal Water and Sewage Collection Tanks, 14.
Renew Corrosion Preventive Zinc Anodes, 15. Routine Drydocking, 16.
Provide Temporary Berthing, etc. Vessel's homeport is New Orleans, LA.
Vessel length is 160''. Vessel availability schedule is 16 October
1995 for 56 days. There will be non-refundable charge required in the
form of a certified check or money order made payable to the US Coast
Guard in the amount of $100.00 for requested US Coast Guard
specification reference drawings. The proposed contract listed here is
part of the Small Business Competetitiveness Demostration Program and
is open to both large and small businesses. Plans and Specification
will be issued on or after 14 July 1995. All responsible sources may
submit a bid which inall be considered by the United States Coast

Businesss Utilization has programs to assist minority, women-owned and
disadvantage business enterprisesto aquired short-term working capital
and bonding assistance for transportation-related contracts. Loans are
available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime
interest rates up to $500,000 per contract to provide accounts
receiving financing. The DOT Bonding Assistance Program enables firms
to apply for bid, performance and payment bonds up to $500,000 per
contract. DOT provides an 80 percent guaranty on the bond amount to a
