The Department of Energy's (DOE) Oak Ridge Field Office at Oak Ridge, Tennessee, requires a firm to provide pagers, perform scheduled maintenance and repair on DOE- owned pagers and leased pagers. The paging service must include a combination of numeric and alphanumeric capable paging units and must accommodate both alphanumeric and numeric pages in the same group calls. The service must include Local Area Network (LAN) software capable of individual or group messaging (numeric and alphanumeric), compatible to the existing DOE Oak Ridge network, currently operating in a Digital Equipment Corporation (DEC) environment using LAT protocol must be included in the paging service lease. LAN software must be server capable (i.e., must be able to be loaded on a server for access by PCs operating on the LAN) and utilize model pool technology and/or configuration to transmit written text/messages. The pager service must operate within a 50-mile radius of Oak Ridge, TN and be operational in all areas of the Oak Ridge Federal Building. Oak Ridge propose to lease approximately 100 to 500 paging units initially with the option to lease an additional 100 units. The paging units should include wristwatch and belt mounted/clip models. The lease is anticipated for a 12-month period with 4 options of 12-months each.
