Reference the synopsis for ''Archaeological Support for the Apollo/Saturn V Building'' which appeared in the 4/17/95 CBD (title corrected to ''Archaeological and Historic Facility Survey at the Kennedy Space Center'' in 4/19/95 CBD correction synopsis). Based on responses received to the contemplated sole source procurement, John F. Kennedy Space Center (KSC) has determined that a competitive procurement should be conducted. In addition, the project as originally synopsized has been revised to (1) delete effort for archaeological support for the Apollo/Saturn V building, (2) include an option as described below, and (3) include 100% set-aside for small businesses. Parties who expressed interest by responding to the original sole-source synopsis need not re-respond, any additional parties interested in the project should respond to this notice. The project as revised is synopsized as follows: The selected contractor shall complete the KSC-wide archaeological survey, and reassess the existing National Register of Historic Places (NRHP) nomination of the Launch Complex 39 (LC-39) and Vehicle Assembly Building (VAB) areas. The solicitation and contract will include an option for evaluation of the remaining KSC facilities for eligibility and nomination for inclusion on the NRHP, and preparation of a cultural resource management plan. Period of performance is estimated to be one year from time of award. The Standard Industrial Classification code for the procurement is SIC 8732, the size standard is $5.0 million.
