Station Earle, Colts Neck, NJ. The contractor provide scheduled and
unscheduled inspection, repair, maintenance and tankcar pressure
testing for railcars (boxcars, flatcars and tankcars) including, but
not limited to, the following components: air and hand brakes, trucks
and springs; journal boxes and bearings; wheels, axles and trucks;
couplings and hoses; undercarriage; doors; boxcars exterior and
interior; markings; and dunnage systems in strict accordance with the
solicitation. The contract shall be for a twelve (12) month period. The
resultant contract will be a combination firm fixed price/indefinite
quantity type contract. All work shall be completed in strict
accordance with the specifications. The Standard Industrial
Classification Code (SIC) for this procurement is 8999. The size
standard is $3.5 million. IFB's will be issued on/about 19 July 1995.
The proposed procurement will be issued as unrestricted - open to large
and small business concerns. Performance period will be one year
commencing 15 days after notice of award. Performance period will be 12
months from date of award. The proposed contract has four 12 month
option periods which may be exercised by the Government. WRITTEN
