Sishc (505) 766-1077 (Site Code DACA47) Work consist of the construction of approximately 4380 feet of concrete lined ditch, 2720 feet of new 48'' diameter pipe, and miscellaneous structures. The majority of the 48'' diameter piping (1855 feet continuous) is located at the downstream end of the project. The concrete ditch lining is trapezoidal with a 3 foot wide invert, 1 vert. to 1.25 horiz. side slopes, and a 5 foot height. A new 15 foot wide, earth, road (approximately 3425 feet long) is located adjacent to a portion of the concrete ditch lining. There are a total of 15 concrete headwalls with footings which are located at the beginning and ends of each pipe section (including road crossing and check gate locations) and at irrigation turnouts. The headwall heights vary from 5 to 8 feet above ditch invert. There are 2 irrigation turnout locations (l-12'' and 1-24'' diameter) within the concrete ditch lining. Each consists of a concrete headwall, a sluice gate and CMP piping. There are 4 road crossings, within the concrete ditch lining, for access into fields or dwellings. Typical road crossings consist of upstream and downstream concrete headwalls with 48'' diameter pipe and fill between headwalls. A check gate structure is also located within the concrete ditch lining section. The check gate structure consist of a concrete headwall, a 48'' diameter sluice gate, and 56 feet of 30'' diameter overflow piping. The construction of 1 wire wrapped rip-rap overshot structure is required to protect new ditch piping (located below the overshot structure) from existing arroyo flows. The overshot structure has approximate plan dimensions of 140 feet by 80 feet with wire wrapped rip-rap trapezoidal transition sections are located between areas of new construction and existing earth ditch sections. The transition sections vary in length from 15 to 35 feet with a wire wrapped rip-rap thickness of 1'-0'', two 72'' diameter precast concrete manholes are located within the 1855 foot continuous pipe section. An 18'' diameter sluice gate and corresponding CMP piping shall be located at one of the manholes. Plans will be issued on or about 21 July 1995 with bid opening on or about 23 August 1995. The construction period is 120 days. The cost of plans and specifications is $15.00 per set. This charge is non-refundable.
