This project includes the removal of: pavements, miscellaneous plantings, and landscape finishes. There will be provisions for: a four story building, reinforced concrete wall, footings, slab-on-grade, steel framing, metal decking, concrete floor slabs, rigid insulation, membrane roofing, metal roofing, exterior walls of architectural precast concrete panels, aluminum windows, glass canopies, gypsum wallboard over metal studs, painting, carpet, ceramic tile, marble tile, wood trim, paneling, acoustical lay-in ceiling tile, gypsum board ceiling accents, hollow metal doors, frames, wood doors, plumbing, lavatory rooms, piping, insulation, HW heating septum, steam piping, temperature controls, electrical work, power distribution, interior wiring, conduit, transformers, lighting, switchboards, fire protection systems, utilities, storm sewer piping, telephone lines, site work, paving, curbing, concrete steps, metal rails, plantings, and incidental related work. Also, there will be a provision for a steel-framed, glass walled aerial bridge connected to the existing Hewitt Hall. Also needed: renovation of the major portion of 2 floors in Hewitt Hall, interior demolition, gypsum wallboard partitions, carpet, tile, bathrooms, mechanical & electrical systems, communicating stairs between the 2 renovated floor levels, exterior entry at Hewitt where the bridge attaches, and incidental related work. Proposals will be evaluated on the following evaluation factors: 1) price/cost; 2) technical/management including relevant experience, past performance, schedule management & control, corporate management, and selected subcontractors.
